Wie let er op Brussel? van Lise Witteman, 2024
Very depressing read about how little furry creatures EU politicians have very little oversight looming over them, and how often the transgressions are dismissed as “administrative errors”, despite constant promises of transparency. On the bright side, book also outlines how this can be fixed. English edition is available: Who’s Watching Brussels?

The Reverse Centaur’s Guide to Life After AI by Cory Doctorow, 2026
Honestly after what feels like a year of low-quality virtue signaling on one side, and shitty marketing from the other, this book puts it into a very nice perspective by separating art from the artist ML-the-tech from AI-the-bubble. Should be statutory reading for anyone who wants to open their mouth on the topic.

The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect by Roger Williams, 1994
Very creative look at technological singularity and exploration of modern society finding itself in a post-scarcity immortal utopia. Writing is hit or miss, but a definite recommendation.

Punk ontmoet net genoeg whimsy. Tweede album van een zelfbenoemde “punk boyband”. Unieke stijl die is lekker en energiek, met simpele maar leuke teksten.

A shitty person finds herself in the good place instead of the bad place after death. Never thought that you can make a funny comedy out of something as dry and boring as moral philosophy.

This gets a permanent mention at the bottom of this page because first, it is objectively the best piece of fan fiction, and second it did provide the title for this page.
